In 2002, the Grand Theatre of Shanghai commissioned a monumental canvas and CHU Teh-Chun worked on it for almost two years.
This famous painting, entitled « Symphonie Festive », is 4m (13 feet) high and 7m (23 feet) long.
It was first exhibited at the Opéra Garnier in Paris before leaving for China where it was inaugurated on the 27th of August 2003.
