The Foundation’s Missions

The Foundation oversees the certification of Chu Teh-Chun’s works and leads the preparation of his catalogue raisonné.

This work is supported by an exceptional documentary corpus: more than fifty years of archives gathered, organised and enriched by the artist’s wife, Ching-Chao Chu — known in France as Thérèse.

From the moment they arrived in France, Thérèse devoted her discerning eye and intimate knowledge of her husband’s work to documenting every stage of his artistic journey.
Her meticulous archiving now forms the scientific cornerstone upon which the Foundation’s expertise is built, ensuring the rigour of both the certification process and the forthcoming catalogue raisonné.

The Foundation also conducts ongoing research on these archives in order to advance the academic study of the artist’s oeuvre and deepen our understanding of Chu Teh-Chun’s life and artistic development.
