From June 15 to 27, Fondation Chu Teh-Chun will collaborate with the International School of Geneva (Ecolint) to present an exceptional exhibition at the Arts Centre. This event will feature a curated selection of Chu Teh-Chun’s works on paper. The exhibition will be followed by the Chu Teh-Chun Prize, a competition designed to honor and encourage young talents at Ecolint, inspiring students to pursue creative endeavors.
A rare selection of works on paper by Chu Teh-Chun will be on display at the Arts Centre.
While less familiar to the general public than his oil paintings, these works constitute a vital and integral part of his artistic legacy. This medium enabled him to preserve a profound connection to his Chinese heritage, particularly through the practice of calligraphy and the use of ink on paper.
With a strong educational intent, this exhibition will offer an insight into a more personal and spontaneous aspect of the artist’s creative process.
These works bear witness to his exploration of emptiness, gesture, and the dialogue between ink and material, resulting in compositions of striking and evocative power.
