ACADÉMIE DES BEAUX ARTS

On 17th December 1997, CHU Teh-Chun was elected to the seat of Jacques Despierre, whose work, CHU Teh-Chun said in his inaugural speech at the Academy, on 3rd February 1999, « is essentially different from the one I have at heart to accomplish. »  

Although their styles differ, both artists share a passion for their work, a taste for painting landscapes, a talent for colour and the inclusion of light into their work.   

In 2001, CHU Teh-Chun was promoted to the rank of Knight in the French National Order of the Legion of Honour.
